Connectors
Connect Evermind to ChatGPT
Add the Evermind connector in ChatGPT on the web and sign in. You only do it once.
Step 1. Open Plugins
The button opens ChatGPT in a new tab. You may need to sign in first. If it does not land on the right page, open Plugins from the ChatGPT menu yourself. ChatGPT calls what this guide calls a connector a plugin or app, depending on your version. It is the same thing.
Step 2. Add a custom MCP server
Click the + button and choose Add custom MCP server. (MCP is the technical name for a connector.) Enter a name, then paste the address under Server URL:
Name
EvermindServer URL
https://mcp.evermind.sh/mcpStep 3. Choose how to sign in
Under authentication, choose OAuth. That is the standard "sign in and approve" flow, and ChatGPT works out the rest on its own. Leave any optional boxes empty.
ChatGPT shows a warning because Evermind is not one of its pre-approved apps. Read it, then click I understand and want to continue, and finally Create as a plugin.
Step 4. Sign in
ChatGPT opens a sign-in page. Use the work email address your Evermind administrator added, and approve the connection. ChatGPT never sees your password.
Step 5. Use it in a chat
Install the new plugin if ChatGPT asks, then start a new conversation. In the message box type @ and pick Evermind. Then ask your question, for example:
Try this
Which federal grants are open this year for Indigenous-owned construction companies, and when do they close?ChatGPT may ask you to confirm before it runs a tool. Confirm to continue.
If something goes wrong
- You do not see "Add custom MCP server". Your workspace may not allow it. Ask your ChatGPT administrator.
- It says you are not set up. Your email has not been added to Evermind yet. Ask your Evermind administrator.
- Evermind does not appear when you type @. Start a new conversation, or open Plugins and click Refresh on the connection.
